  1. Press [Ctrl]+[A]
  2. Right mouse click
  3. Press: Save playlist in a file...
  4. Save it whereever you want

Now your ready to go!!
And don't forget to check out my tutorial on how to play this playlist with just one button :)

How to customize a superior music controller with a SNES pad!

A few week ago i bougt myself a a SNES to USB controller to play retro, or very easy built, games more convenient.

I bought it  here at aliecpress for just 3$.

When it arrived i tried it out and everything worked fine. So it became part of my equipment.

Because i have to study a lot lately and i like listening to music of course i thought like "How cool would it be to use the SNES conroller for scrolling down my PDFs AND controling the music"

Download:

You need just one piece of software called AntiMicro
You can download it from Github here : AntiMicro

It basicly is like other Keyboard simulation software ( like Xpadder, JoytoKey,...) but the advantage is that it's easyer to use.

If you don't hve it already i also woulr recommend the VLC Media Player
You can download it  here (go to VLC) for free.

It is the best allrounder i know and very useful.

Instructions:

Global Hotkeys:

Before we start with antimicro we first have to make some global hotkeys we can use to control the VLC player.
Global hotkeys work even if you aren't focused on the programm you wanna control.

1. Open VLC player
2. Either press [Control + P] or open [Tools] and then [Settings]

A new window pops up.

Now choose the tab [Hotkeys]
You now can see on the right side the global hotkeys. At first these are empty.
You can fill them by clicking on the field and then useing your personal hotkey.

Don't forget to use something you won't need in an other programm.

For me the combination of [Control] + [Shift] + [Key] works great. As [Key] just type any letter on your keyboard like the arrows, F11, F12, ....

Don't forget to save your work!

The hotkey won't work immediatly. You have to close and open the Player.

AntiMicro settings:

Open AntiMicro and plug your controller in.
The Programm should automaticly notice your device.

Press a Button on your controller and a light will pop up.
By pressing the [A] Button on my SNES Controller it looks like this.

Now click on this blue button and a new window pops up which looks like a keyboard.
If you just want to give you controler a single Key as command you can press the key here.
But we will need the advanced settings.

Another window pops up and now you have to click on the empty box.

You now type the first key of your Global Hotkey you wanna use.
After that you do the same with the second and third until your hotkey is ready.

Now you just have to close the two open windows, save your work and try it out.
Your Global Hotkey is ready to use on you controller!!

You also can use this to put any other key on the controler for playing games like Super Mario, Pokemon,....

Give every Button a Name:

To recognice every button so you don't have to press them all the time you can give them names.
Therefor you need two fields.

Start Music immediatly Button (super cool):

With AntiMicro you also can make a button which opens the VLS Player AND puts in your playlist of choice.

You will need to open the [Advanced] setting
Then open the field [Execute]

Executable: here you have the insert the location of the VLC Player. Here you can see de default location.

Arguments: Copy and Paste the location of your playlist in this field. The playlist has a (.xdpf) ending and was made with the VLC Player.
If you don't know how to make a VLC Playlist check out my tutorial
How to make a VLC Playlist!

After that, press the [Insert] Button.

Close the Windows and try it out!!
By pressing the button, the VLC player start immediatly playing you favourite music ;)

How to modify your wireless mouse to power it with cable!

So i recently got myself an old R.A.T 9 CYBORG gaming mouse from Mad Catz. I got it from a friend who wanted to throw it away because he couldn't get new battery back. I thought like what a waste and so i tried to power it in an other way.

The R.A.T 9 gaming mouse is pretty cool. You can adjust every detail, so the mouse fits perfect in your hand. The Software is nice too. The only horrible thing are these stupid batteries. They are always empty when you need them most.

First I cosidered to use a new Battery Pack (one of those which are used in model aircrafts, one with more charge) but it would be a lot of work to charge the battery as soon as it is empty... i would have to built a new charging station too....

Nahh, i am to lazy for that..

One my PC where enough free USB hubs so i decided to put a cable to my mouse.

This should be a guid on how to put a cable on your wireless mouse.
It should work for every typ of mouse.

The result will look like this:

Step 1: the Theory

The most modern wireless mice wll use a LiPo or at least a LiIon battery. These batteries are labeled with 3.7V. So i tried to reach this Voltage with an voltage regulator like the LM317 (you will find a tutorial for this later in an other Post).

Unfortnately this didn't work and so i tried it again with an higher voltage. Like you maybe know they batteries are charged with the constant current, constant voltage process which uses 4.2V.

After changing the resistors of the regulator circuit ist did work, but showed in the Software just 1% power left... I used the mouse for a while and a month later it happend that the mouse turned off. It was again a problem of the supply....

So i tried somthing little bit risky. I bypassed the ragualtor an but the 5V from the USB hub directly to the mouse and hallelujah it worked.

The software told me that the mouse has 100% "charge" and everything works fine.
I now use the mouse for a year without any trouble.

Don't forget that the cable is JUST for supplying the mouse. The data still goes through the receiver.

If you try this guide be aware of the fact that the 5V supply could damage your mouse.
Try it just for a few seconds and keep an eye one the Circuit.
If anything gets warm the 5V are too much.

Step 2: the Disassembling

Be sure to remove the battery pack from the mouse!

Thirst of all you have to disassemble the mouse.

You can either use my guid below or wathc this video for the disassembling.
Video

There are 3 screws on the bottom. They maybe have a different length so be sure to remember which fits in the right hole.

After that you can remove the top.
Be careful, becouse there are small plastic parts which break easily.
After that step you should see the circuits.

Now it's time to remove the thumb wheel. You just have to unscrew the two and then move the black plastic part to the side.

You now can lift the first circuit board to get access to the second one.

Orange Box: this will look different at your mouse. The reason is because i had to drill a hole in ther so there to connect  the wires to the voltage regulator i wanted to use. In this soloution you will not need to drill this hole.Red Box: here you can see the the connector for the power supply.

  1. The wire with the red stripe on it is for the positiv power.
  2. The middle one is for the temperature control of the battery.
  3. The third is the mass.

Step 3: Drilling the Holes

This step is very easy because you just have to drill on hole.
Place it somewhere on top of the mouse so it can't interrupt you while playing video games... *huh*...work i mean.
Also make sure the cable has anough space to fit to where you need it.
You can see that i had to make some extra space on the right side of the bouse button.

Step 3: Connecting

Because we supply it with 5V directly from the USB hub (look at Theory) we just have to connect to wires with a soldering iron. There are many way to do so.

Either solder them just together. But don't forget to use a shringing tube. Else you get a short circuit and could destroy your computer.
Or use a small piece of breadboard and cut of the rest so the wires can't touch each other.

USB Cable:

  1. Red: 5V
  2. Green: Data (could also have an other colour)
  3. Grey: Data (could also have an other colour)
  4. Black: Mass
Power connector (like mentioned before):

  1. The wire with the red stripe on it is for the positiv power.
  2. The middle one is for the temperature control of the battery.
  3. The third is the mass.
You just have to connect both supplies.
The red wire and the one thith the red stripe.
And the Black with the mass from the connector.

The wire in the middle stays unconnected, so you can cut off a bit. Same for the data ones.

Step 4: Trying and put everything together

Now you can plug it in.

Make sure to watch the Software so you'r aware of the "charge"
and don't forget to have a eye on the circuit of your mouse.
Plug it out immediatly if something gets warm!!!

If everything works fine, than you can put everything together and use your new, battery free, gaming mouse.

I hope you enjoyed and that this post was useful for you.

How to configurate you PS2 Emulator PCSX2

If you have problems to configurate your Emulator
than this Tutorial could help you.

GET THE PLUGINS AND BIOS

First of all you need to download the necessary Plugins & BIOS to run the Emulator.

Plugin & BIOS
(don't worry, i tryed it and there aren't any virus)

EXTRACT THE FILES

Now just extract the files and copy & replace them into the folder where you run PCSX2.

OPEN PCSX2

Now open PCSX2 and click

Config -> Plugin/BIOS Sektor

than try different settings. For me worked these:

The area is important for the games you wanna play.

These Plugin settings worked for me.

WHAT IF THERE IS NO SUITABLE GS PLUGIN?

It is possible that PCSX2 always crashes and closes.
The cause for this is your GS Plugin.

If you open the GS Plugins, there is a list of different Plugins.

It can be that you don't find a suitable because you haven't the newest version of DirectX.

First of all check your Version of DirectX.

Press StartSchaltfläche "Start"   -> enter "dxdiag"

If you have DirectX 10 or DirectX 11 than you just have to update it.

Download :
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=19743

and install it.

NOW LOOK AT YOUR GS PLUGINS AGAIN

Now there should be more Plugins avalible.
One of them should fit.

HAVE FUN PLAYING :D

Any problems by installing PCSX2? Click here.

If this Tutorial solved your problem, please give me a FEEDBACK.

Thank You :)

How to install PCSX2

Many people had problems to install the PS2 Emulator PCSX2 on their PC.
Here I will show you  how to install it on a new PC with 64BIT Windows.

First off all visit this Website to download the Emulator:
http://www.emulator-zone.com/doc.php/ps2/pcsx2.html
(here you can also find many other emulators)
You can trust me, there aren't any virus.

Next you extract the file and click the .exe to run the software.

Now ther can be many different errors wich occur mostly at relativ new PCs.
I used a PC with:

  • Windows 7 Premium 64Bit
  • i7 Intel
  • nVidia GeForce 630m

So, but now let us carry on to solve the problms.

MISSING .DLL

First of all you may will get a window wich says that msvcp120.dll is missing

in this case you just have to download the missing file and to place it where your PCSX2 application is.

The same ERROR happened to me with the file msvcr120.dll
Here are the links for those two files:

If any more .dll 's are missing just use google and download them.

ERROR 0x000007b

May you get now a window with this text:
"The application was unable to start correctly (0x000007b). Click OK to close the application."

In this case some Windows Visual C++ redistributables are missing, because PCSX2 was made for 84x.

Than you have to download and install them from the official Microsoft page:

Now just click the .exe and install it.

IF THIS DOESN'T WORK, TRY TO DOWNLOAD
THE EMULATOR FROM THIS GERMAN WEBSITE.
For some reason it can be that the 0x000007b error doesn't appear at this patched version.

http://www.chip.de/downloads/PCSX2_57051487.html

NOW IT SHOULD BE RUNNING

have fun and enjoy your Games :)
