How to configurate you PS2 Emulator PCSX2

If you have problems to configurate your Emulator
than this Tutorial could help you.

GET THE PLUGINS AND BIOS

First of all you need to download the necessary Plugins & BIOS to run the Emulator.

Plugin & BIOS
(don't worry, i tryed it and there aren't any virus)

EXTRACT THE FILES

Now just extract the files and copy & replace them into the folder where you run PCSX2.

OPEN PCSX2

Now open PCSX2 and click

Config -> Plugin/BIOS Sektor

than try different settings. For me worked these:

The area is important for the games you wanna play.

These Plugin settings worked for me.

WHAT IF THERE IS NO SUITABLE GS PLUGIN?

It is possible that PCSX2 always crashes and closes.

The cause for this is your GS Plugin.

If you open the GS Plugins, there is a list of different Plugins.

It can be that you don't find a suitable because you haven't the newest version of DirectX.

First of all check your Version of DirectX.

Press Start   -> enter "dxdiag"


If you have DirectX 10 or DirectX 11 than you just have to update it.

Download :

and install it.



NOW LOOK AT YOUR GS PLUGINS AGAIN

Now there should be more Plugins avalible.
One of them should fit.

How to install PCSX2

Many people had problems to install the PS2 Emulator PCSX2 on their PC.
Here I will show you  how to install it on a new PC with 64BIT Windows.


First off all visit this Website to download the Emulator:
http://www.emulator-zone.com/doc.php/ps2/pcsx2.html
(here you can also find many other emulators)
You can trust me, there aren't any virus.

Next you extract the file and click the .exe to run the software.

Now ther can be many different errors wich occur mostly at relativ new PCs.
I used a PC with:

• Windows 7 Premium 64Bit
• i7 Intel 
• nVidia GeForce 630m

So, but now let us carry on to solve the problms.

MISSING .DLL

First of all you may will get a window wich says that msvcp120.dll is missing

in this case you just have to download the missing file and to place it where your PCSX2 application is.

The same ERROR happened to me with the file msvcr120.dll

Here are the links for those two files:

If any more .dll 's are missing just use google and download them.

ERROR 0x000007b

May you get now a window with this text:

"The application was unable to start correctly (0x000007b). Click OK to close the application."

In this case some Windows Visual C++ redistributables are missing, because PCSX2 was made for 84x.

Than you have to download and install them from the official Microsoft page:

http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5555

Now just click the .exe and install it.

IF THIS DOESN'T WORK, TRY TO DOWNLOAD

THE EMULATOR FROM THIS GERMAN WEBSITE.

For some reason it can be that the 0x000007b error doesn't appear at this patched version.

NOW IT SHOULD BE RUNNING
